Specialty Chef Stations Add a Creative Flair to your Columbus Reception or Party

Unique, Chef-attended stations turn the traditional dinner buffet on its head! Instead of offering an entrée, sides and salad, why not offer a wide assortment of small plate portions?  Sandman Gourmet’s succulent Herb-Crusted Beef Tenderloin Carving Station pairs wonderfully with a Gourmet Mashed Potato Bar, our Shrimp Scampi Sauté Station, and a fresh Garden Salad Bar.  Your guests will have so many choices they won’t know where to begin!  Ask your Event Specialist to help you build the perfect menu.

Our Special Event Catering Chef Stations Menu:

These specialty stations add a creative flair to your special event!  Stations are designed to be booked in groups of 3-4 to constitute a full meal, or a la carte as an accompaniment to a full dinner buffet or hors d’oeurves offering.  Each station must be booked for your full guest count, and a minimum guest count of 50 is required.  Stations include high end disposable plates, napkins and cutlery.  China and flatware rental is also available at an additional charge. A service charge will be added to cover chef labor.

Carving Stations:

  • Mustard & Herb Crusted Tenderloin of Beef with wild mushroom demi and baguettes; $12.95 per person
  • Prime Rib of Beef au jus with horseradish cream and crusty breads; $9.95 per person
  • Roast Top Round of Beef au jus with horseradish cream and baguettes; $7.95 per person
  • Roasted Pork Tenderloin with apple chutney and miniature brioche rolls; $6.95 per person
  • Pit Ham with brown sugar glaze and Herb Roasted Turkey Breast with Dijon and miniature brioche rolls; $6.95 per person

Sauté Stations:

  • Jumbo Shrimp Scampi sautéed with white wine, lemon, fresh herbs and garlic, tossed with fettuccine and served with parmesan crostini; $8.95 per person
  • Pan Seared Scallops with balsamic reduction and crisp pancetta over a bed of wilted greens; $9.95 per person
  • Chef’s Pasta Sauté ~Pasta sautéed-to-order by our Chef with each guest’s choice of assorted fresh made sauces, vegetables, grilled chicken, Italian sausage, meatballs and parmesan cheese, served with crusty bread; $7.95 per person
  • Tapas ~Chef-composed small plate presentations of your choice of 3 custom tapas; market price.  We’ll work with you to create your own unique menu; see the sample menus below for inspiration:
    • Sample Menu ~Pan-seared diver scallop over wild mushroom risotto, butternut squash bisque shooters, endive leaves with gorgonzola candied walnut & fresh pear; $11.95 per person
    • Sample Menu ~Thai chicken lettuce wraps, jumbo shrimp cocktail & gazpacho shooters, sea salt fingerling potatoes with roasted garlic aioli; $10.95 per person

Self-Serve Stations:

  • Gourmet Mashed Potato Bar with our signature goat cheese mashed potatoes and a variety of savory toppings including whipped butter, sour cream, bacon, chives and assorted cheeses; $5.95 per person *add $1 for martini glasses
  • BBQ Station with the Sandman’s Signature house-smoked pulled pork, sliced beef brisket, sweet barbecue and Carolina-style vinegar sauces, fresh coleslaw and miniature  brioche rolls; $7.95 per person
  • Fresh Salad Bar ~Fresh field greens, baby spinach and romaine lettuce with a wide variety of sweet and savory toppings and your choice of 3 dressings; $5.95 per person
  • Accompaniment Station ~Complete your meal of 2-3 additional stations with this self-serve buffet of your choice of 2 side dishes and a fresh salad from our menu; $4.95 per person
